Professional Certifications in Canine Nutrition
The Canine Nutrition courses introduce students to what canines are designed to eat and how this pertains to a species-specific diet. Through these courses students will understand the merit of food products available, versus the nutritional quality, digestibility and purity of biologically appropriate foods and therefore how to prescribe a complete diet that meets each nutritional requirement for dogs.
Understanding what canines are designed to eat through the various stages of the canine life is of the utmost importance for all training canine nutritionists.
The information contained in this course has been complied with the astute help of two very important Veterinarians who have made biological nutrition for dogs a priority, to aid in reducing the more common conditions and diseases that affect so many dogs in modern times. At the end of these courses the student will understand how nutrition can hinder or improve allergies or inflammation within the canine body. Understanding how nutritional diseases are caused and exasperated through nutrient deficiencies, therefore aiding students on how to professionally prescribe a complete diet that meets each nutritional requirement for dogs dealing with disease on an individual basis.
Students have three (3) graduating courses to choose from:
- Certification in Canine Biological Nutrition.
- Professional Certification in Canine Naturopathic Nutrition.
- Professional Certification in Canine Naturopathic Therapeutic Dietetics.
Please note: as stated in the Course Information panel on the right, there are no prerequisites for the Certification in Canine Biological Nutrition course.
Those wishing to enrol in the Canine Naturopathic Nutrition or the Canine Naturopathic Therapeutic Dietetics courses will need to study the Canine Biological Nutrition course prior to enrolment, or hold applicable qualification in Canine Nutrition is required (post-graduate/ veterinary medicine).
After completion, students have the opportunity to then continue their studies in order to obtain the Full Canine Naturopathic Medicine qualification. Refer to the Canine Naturopathy course page for details.
