Advanced Professional Certification in Equine Naturopathic Medicine

Naturopathy is a medicinal system relating to the true biological nature of a species, combining both the theory of philosophy and its principles in practice to support healing and maintain health. The word ‘Natur’ pertains to the ‘natural’ state. ‘Pathy’ indicates the disease of a specific organ. Therefore, the Naturopathic ‘wholistic’ and complementary nature of natural medicine is designed to work within the biological nature of the ‘whole’ body, from the inside-out and the outside-in. Optimum balance within each of the body’s systems to function correctly promotes an improved environment to continually aim for a consistent homeostasis health aspect of the whole body prospective.

Equine Naturopaths aim to treat the underlying causes of bodily dysfunction by applying the core principle of treating the cause rather than the symptom.

The empowering study into Naturopathy specifically for horses can easily integrate with veterinary care. The equine industry has grown so much and continues to expand. More and more horse owners are looking for advice on species specific issues to complement veterinary care. This Certification course provides you with the foundation knowledge of both the modern biological science as well as the traditional merits of medicine using the ‘wholistic paradigm’ to restore health and wellbeing according to the requirements of each individual.

Equine Naturopaths can provide a vital role in educating horse owners about their monogastric herbivore and the unfortunate health issues they are increasingly subjected to. Your education in Equine Naturopathy will help horse owners feel supported to make changes that support vitality and health of their horses.

At the end of this course the student will understand the Naturopathic trilogy of subjects for health and healing to observe, engage and enable treatment for a variety of dysfunctional aspects improving the overall health, wellbeing, performance and longevity of our multi-disciplined equine athletes.
