History
Estd. 1985
The College’s humble beginnings in 1985 as a Naturopathic College for Human studies under the National College of Traditional Medicine, was extended to offer and teach Naturopathic studies for animals when two Veterinarians contacted the Founder of the College, Dr. Sandi Rogers in relation to musculature issues within horses.
After hundreds of equine and canine necropsy analysis to understand the biomechanics of equines and canines musculature, the first subject of the animal naturopathy studies was born, Myofunctional Therapy; ‘myo’ pretending to muscle and ‘function’ pertaining to the function of the muscle.
The following studies in Nutrition and Natural Medicine were developed with a focus on biologically appropriate feeding and supplementation to be species -specific to the origins of the animal. Keeping in line with the traditional philosophy of Naturopathic Medicine.
2015 saw the NCTM became a solely animal naturopathic college, by dividing the human and animal courses, so that the human courses could be turned into university naturopathic degrees within Australia.
In the wake of these changes, in 2016 the NCTM further improved its delivery of courses by creating an online learning platform for students to study via distance education and creating more innovating forms of delivery.
2023 saw a new era for the college and complete changeover of ownership from the National College of Traditional Medicine to the new Animal Naturopathic Medicine Ēducātum.
With the continued focus on evolving and developing our courses and subjects to be in line with scientific and industry developments, we make it our mission to be ‘Leaders in the education of Naturopathic Medicine studies for Animals’.
Find happiness in every moment

A Welcome Message from our Founder
Welcome,
The courses at the college have all been written and developed to ensure graduates are focused on the traditions of Naturopathic Medicine and applying as our history guides us to do; working with the whole animal, not focusing on the disease or illness, forms the foundation in becoming an effective wholistic practitioner.
Whether students are wishing to gain knowledge for their own pets or are eager to study in the hopes of working as a professional in the industry, there are courses for everyone. Those that are wishing to specialise in one area of Naturopathic health or the full Naturopathic philosophy and subjects, the breadth of information covered in these courses is extensive and so it should be, for those of you wishing to become a professional animal therapies practitioner.
As students of this college, vigour and vitality will become common words and thoughts to process as you consider the needs of the whole animal, and you will see clear evidence of combative treatment methods.
It is the belief that there is an opportunity to blend the fields of medicine and therapies, as one cannot really survive without the other.
Advances in modern medicine, as will, be repeated regularly throughout the courses, are impressive, yet we must focus on the personal needs of the animal to support and stimulate the vigour required to heal.
Taking the time to work with all students and never wavering on standards has been the mission from the College’s humble beginnings. To want the very best for each and every one of the students and wanting to share time and knowledge is the greatest accomplishment of any true teacher of naturopathic medicine.
The primary aim of the college is to provide you with a supportive learning environment where you will have fun whilst achieving your goals.
Stay excited in your studies and history will tell of the students, such as yourself, that contributed to this great and dynamic profession, who wanted to maintain the tradition of naturopathic medicine for animals.
